Rankings are a crap shoot. Gonzaga loses to Purdue by 10 and they stay in the top 10. We lose to Marquette by 7 and drop completely out of the rankings.

We need to get DGL going, we miss his speed and quickness. Really missed Sincere in this one. Nobody could slow down Kolek. Much improved shooting and I really like the improvement by Shannon on the 3 ball. Should be a fun year. Marquette is a top 5 team for real.

Final game last year MSU beat Marquette 69-60. Should be a fun game. It will be a tossup.

There has been conversation about the disadvantages of having to play top teams every night. Some think it has hurt the Big Ten the last few years. Maybe we will see if having more easy games helps the Illini make a deep run.
