Hopefully people realize how dumb that was and it comes down this year

Offensive line everyone but Renfro has atleast another year. Hopefully McMillian can take his spot and Champ Smith takes a spot if someone transfers. Defensive line yes it will be mostly transfers for impact starters (especially at edge). The freshman look nice - Liggins, Crim, Tony B - but...

But he also mentioned he has quiety demoted people in the past and he had changes coming to the defense. Whether Hauck heard that and said I'm out before he was actually fired can be up for debate sure.

Most top 20/30 kids wont commit until spring these days with the portal. Heck even if they do commit it doesn't matter too much. Keep expectations low

You play at most 4 at a time and the top 4 are practicing. We have three weeks for them to get back, its football people get hurt. Your bust Rankin is back practicing, let's just chill out for a bit. Gameday status is different than practice status.

The hold back BS is also crazy. There's 19 YOs playing HS football

Has anyone bought parking passes on stubhub and had any issues? Also, are the lots in the 30s (mainly 31/32) assigned slots or just first come? TIA

No stadium is going to be absolutely perfect. These days, if they did renovate it would probably mean just more suites and kick out a large group of locals that are in the horseshoe becaues its cheap. $100m doesn't go very far these days especially in an old stadium that needs various upgrades...

Josh will make sure that the football team has what it needs from revenue sharing. We are going to be middle of the big ten when it comes to funding, Bret is thinking long term (5/5, portal) with the use of those funds right now which has led to the class we have now. We're not poor

Quit on the team and shouldn't be allowed back. I don't really care what nice things he may have said about us after he left. I'm not worried though because he's not an actual option

We can provide said bag

Donors are going to focus on MBB and FB, let's be honest. NCAAW is so top heavy that I'm sure 90% of teams are going to wonder if its even worth the investment at this point. Not a single elite 8 game was close and it was mainly between 1 vs 2/3 seeds. Illinois is in a 10x better place than it...

Is this a 2010s basketball recruiting thread?

I am not saying he is close to being in danger of being fired or has to prove anything. Its a fair question of whether we continue on our upward trajectory or fall back with the amount of change that we are undergoing this year.

Also the guys we hired mainly have out of state connections so that is not going to help the potential lack of top in state guys. It seems like it is almost too top heavy where those guys are looking to get bigger NIL than what we are going to offer freshman (outside of Lopati) and we won't have...
