Why did Storr have so much trouble at KU? I thought he was awesome at Wisconsin- was disappointed we didn’t land him last year. If this was already discussed- I apologize.

Just looked at Morez high school stats and sort of shocked he shot 32% from 3 taking 50 shots his senior year. However, scouting report basically said he lacked offensive ability but a beast down low. I’m pretty confident Illini coaches are good at noticing players’ capabilities and decided...

He may have a sophomore leap - we’ll see. But based on his current muscle development, he’s pretty far along physically. Riley has a lot of room for physical development, not Morez.

Agreed!! I really grew to like Morez and rooted for him , but jeez did he underwhelm in my book. Expected a lot more from a player as physically developed as Morez who was Mr. Basketball in Illinois. Dainja is significantly more skilled - great footwork, moves, passing and motor. He just can’t...

The worst part is that when he uses that fighting through screens/chasing defense, the baskets the opposing team gets are bunnies/high percentage. I’m...

I’m very grateful to Underwood for making Illinois a watchable, fun program again who consistently does respectably in the Big 10 and takes us to the tournament. Trudging through the Weber/Groce era makes me appreciate him even more. Also, he seems very passionate and kids seem to like him...

Completely agree- has been an issue for years. Rewatch the Loyola game and watch how moser took advantage of this strategy. Over pressuring and assuming you can fight through screens every time doesn’t work at this level playing against elite guards. Drives me nuts.

I completely agree. Illini defense has been doing this chasing for years - drives me crazy. It’s the primary reason we lost to Loyola. Unless the opposing team is weak or really off, this defensive strategy is ineffective and harmful.
