Anyone have Torvik preseason rankings since the start of the portal Wild West and how spot on they were? Not much data yet. I think projecting a preseason rank for teams that are nearly entirely new in the portal age is a fools errand personally.

If Coleman got himself a national championship anywhere but Illinois I would be so depressed. Maybe eventually happy for him but bitter for longer than I’d like to admit.

There are plenty of guys that put their name in the draft and also the portal. There won’t be much movement on those guys until they get the draft feedback so portal is far from being over even with the May 1 deadline coming up. I bet next week sees more people hit the portal than any one day...

For everything Goode gave to the program I sure hope our fans can continue to be respectful regardless where he goes. No doubt he has been an Illini and EDG through and through. Yea I’d hate to see him in stupid candy stripes but there is plenty to hate on at IU without dragging Goode through...

Is there a thought the stock could improve significantly enough with a year of a healthy Hawkins that would outweigh the cons of another year of college? He didn’t seem to get as much NBA buzz through the year (at least publicly) as I anticipated with how much he improved his 3pt shooting.

I recall multiple mentions of some likely movement in our assistant coaches, even mentioned during the NCAA tourney. The guys bringing valuable info here aren’t always exact as everything is fluid and can turn on a dime but I’m way more prepared for most things thanks to the valuable insights...
