The question now seems to be who can add $80-100 million a year? There's not that many schools that can justify that kind of valuation to the BIG (or the SEC for that matter). WASH and maybe 1 of UO/UCAL/COL might command that kind of $$ w/ their brands and TV markets. They would certainly help...

I would have to think ND is the only non-AAU on the table. This is obviously driven by football $$$, but the gatekeepers are ultimately the univ. presidents and they see research $$$ (hence the Hopkins add) as well as future revenues based on demos. The beauty of this from a marketing standpoint...

We added Nebraska. ... And I do think it would have enormous academic (how univ presidents think) and financial appeal (the TV markets and BIG alums in those areas are significant) ... But you're right, it's not happening at that scale ... that's why I called it "dreaming" in the first place...
