Beckman was a mess, but holy s***, saying Lovie brought credibility back to the program is quite a stretch. And for all intents and purposes, Tepper self-imposed the death penalty on the program with his ineptitude - he didn't earn the nickname CDP for nothing

We certainly can beat Iowa, especially at home. But I don't think we will beat Iowa. They lost a lot of talent, but they brought a lot back as well and always have guys in place to reload. Barring a lot of injuries they are a 9 or 10 win team, per usual

As bad as Beckman and Tepper (and Zook) were, the worst 2 coaches in my lifetime were Lovie and Moeller, with Moeller being the worst. By mid-70's standards Blackman was a good coach; he had to deal with ridiculously difficult non-conference schedules and there was no way he was going to beat...

7-5. Our offense should be good to excellent and our defensive backfield is very strong. On the other hand, our DL and LB's are just not P4 caliber and we will give up a lot of points. Last year's team would have gone 10-2 with this schedule

I'm more pessimistic about this team than are most on here. My guess is we will go 7-5, but only because we have a very favorable schedule and BB has a history of doing well in close games. I'm really happy with our freshman class and think it will be the foundation for better seasons to come...
