I agree. The 3-3-5 is flexible and can supply passer pressure; Put two edge guys on the line with the three down linemen, and you don't know where the pressure will come from. Or, they can function as LBs and create a 5 man defensive line.

Illini will be "old." Should be competent on the defensive end. When I see these scriimmages, I sometimes wonder if Jakstys might be ready to help this year. I also always like what I see from Davis. He looks like the kind of glue guy that top teams always seem to have.

I would assume Mirk is ready to go by now. Healing and PT should have him ready. It's not likely he'll miss any games.

Houser is a terrific passer, but as others have said, he needs to get other receivers involved more. We've got potentially good tight ends; he needs to find 'em.

Let's use the OSU game as a clinic; work on things that need work. If we come back home at 2-2, that's okay. We start a new season beginning with Purdue. Other than Oregon, we're capable we're capable of beating all the other teams on the schedule.
