The issue with Alzolay is pretty simple. Last year he gave up 5 HRs in 64 innings. This year he’s given up 4 HRs in 10 innings. He’s leaving the ball up and it’s getting hammered. It should be fixable, but not sure you want to be using him in high leverage situations while he works out the kinks.

It would be very cool for the Cubs if both Keegan and Wesneski could go back to being a thing.

He’s a 2-time All Star who was pretty good for the Braves… a decade ago. He’s been hurt and/or bad for the last 5 seasons. Have to imagine they just grabbed him to eat a few innings until Steele and Taillon are back in a few weeks.

The Pacers are a fun, young team when Halliburton is healthy. Since coming back from injury, he isn’t quite on the Magic Johnson-esque tear he was on at the beginning of the season, but he’s still probably the best distributing point guard in the League.

Based on the QB signings today, I think the Bears will be lucky to get a 4th round pick for Fields. A 5th round pick is more likely. Minnesota and Denver are the only teams left that might try to get Fields to be a starter.

Nobody is developing Fields anymore. Not the Bears. Not any team that might trade for him. It’s his 4th year and the last guaranteed year of his contract. He’s a bridge qb for the “next guy” no matter where he plays this year.

Kinda wish the Cubs jumped on that Chapman deal. I’d be all for a Snell or Montgomery pillow deal at this point.
