Here's my take. Under Groce Illinois was always the second best team in recruiting. Carlton Bragg came out and said even after he'd committed to Kansas that he talked to Groce because he was a good mentor. I'd rather get recruits the way we did with Ayo than be in the friend zone of recruiting.

Here's my take on Ebo. Yes he's a project big. Under Groce's lead, he would probably play sparingly three years and then maybe have an alright senior season. But Groce's player development was awful. Under Underwood and Antigua, he may become a top tier BIG10 player. We have yet to see how well...
