    11/18 Weekend Games

Yup, a team that loaded is capable of going on a roll, even if they underperform most of the time.

The bad Belo was mostly last season when he was in a fog. It was obvious he never fully recovered from the concussion. The FR year, fully healthy Belo was really good. That said, I like our current PG, Clark. And I like Epps too, though he really is more of a "combo guard."

Pregame: Illinois vs UCLA, Friday, November 18th, 8:30pm CT, ESPNU

Top 100 is good and BU has certainly upgraded our talent, but there are teams out there with several McDonald's AAs. We don't have one. Our top rated player was just barely in the top 30. And Hawkins was rated around 150 and a three star. And I'm not saying H.S. rankings are gospel -- the...

    Illini Basketball 2022-2023

Last year we got hosed by all the injuries. While Houston was indeed a tough 2nd round matchup, given how decimated our lineup was, we weren't going far regardless of draw.

He's going to have to unless Hawk can play 35 minutes per game. I think he'll be in our top 7 or 8 guys in terms of minutes. And maybe even start a bit.

I'd put Epps at 6 then Dain, Rodgers, and Goode. And I'd have Harris ahead of Lieb and Perrine.

Looks like he's lost 30-40 pounds! I know Fletch is good, but give credit to Dain - that takes a lot of self-disclipine to do that in 6 or 7 months.

Forgot about them. Who would have thought Turner would end up as good as he did!?! Two really isn't that uncommon.

And Sergio and Marcus from Peoria and Nick and Ervin from Simeon. I think we also got Reggie Woodward along with Efrem Winters from King the same year, but I'm not positive. I don't think two is that crazy. But I'm not aware of any college basketball team pulling three players from one H.S...

Two from one school is definitely doable, and we've done it before. Three, I agree, seems quite unlikely.
