Surprised to see both the twins that high. Hope they both can put it together in possibly their last seasons.

Duke's talent acquisition has been way ahead of everyone else's since the early 90s. The only time anyone matched them was Kentucky with Cal for about a decade. Talent acquisition is obviously extremely important, but you need more than just getting the most top 10 players every year.

They have 6 National titles since 1999. I like to win our conference, but winning the national title is infinitely more important. Even a Final Four is way more important than a conference title. Hate Hurley all you want. They are the best program in college basketball.

That was an incredible coaching job by Kruger. Perfect example of a team being greater than the sum of its parts.

Probably fighting for minutes like Lincoln and Morillo behind the 7 obvious guys. But you always have to assume players will miss some time because of injuries, etc. What's the latest on Morillo's health? If he's not ready, I think Ethan could play a bit.

He doesn't need to do that. They get so many high 5 star recruits, there's just no need for him to develop an under-the-radar type. So we're unlikely to see it.

All true. While in general PGs are your shortest player (for very valid reasons) and Cs are your tallest, it can very a lot depending on the skills of the individual and how those skills fit in with your other players.

He won't be guarding the opponent's PG too often. Why do you insist that our primary PG on offense has to guard the opponent's PG? You realize he can be our main PG on offense, yet a quicker guy like Coleman or Williams can get guard the opponent's PG?

Although I disagree with you on Vaaks, you do make a good point. There seem to be a lot of posters here that just think you can put the biggest guy out there, whether it be PG, SF, or whatever, and you automatically win the game. There's a reason there aren't many 6'7 PGs in college ball...

Excellent post. Those things are very important - ideally you have 2+ guys that can do that. Boswell was excellent in the regard.

I'm with you on that. It was just a perfect storm of events for Petro here.

Because they're clearly the most talented team most years. No other team has multiple top 10 guys coming off the bench - most of us recognize that. But we also recognize that doesn't necessarily produce a championship. You'd think it would happen one of these years, but as of now I think...

Offensively he's a PG - he has handles and vision and shooting - that's what I want from my PG. Nobody here has claimed he'd guard the opposing PG. He'll likely guard the opposing 3 or 2. There's no rule that your PG has to guard the opponent's PG.
