I’m hoping Griffin stays. He has a skill set that we lack if he can take it to the next level. His length defensively is impressive and deceptive. Once the game slows down for him and he feels more comfortable in his spots offensively, I think he fits perfectly into Underwood’s offensive and...
In Underwood's defense, I'm sure at the time becoming the head coach in a P5 conference would be a dream job. He has shown what he can do and wasn't rewarded for it. Illinois comes along and courts him. As many have mentioned, this is a basketball school with great facilities, a huge recruiting...
I feel for Whitman right now. Not because he is paid big money to handle these types of situations, but because he has set a high standard with how the coaching change happened with football. To expect him to do something similar with basketball is over zealous I think. His roots are in...
Personally I think the real issue isn't so much as the wrong personnel. It's more about our guards using the screens correctly. Actually this is the case all over the floor offensively. Drives me crazy watching players not rubbing off the screens being set.
Agree, very insulting! I also doubt Groce plays that game and I don't believe we are in the position to use another player just as bait, especially PG.
Fletcher certainly seems to be making his impact. Think about Hill and his actual age and realize his body is still maturing. I'm excited to see how the team's physical improvements translate on the court.
Having said that, I'm hoping to see much better defensive angles, close outs, and off...
I would take a Taylor Battle type player any day. I like the possibility of having players like Goodwin and Frazier with toughness and high motors playing together.
Agree. I believe it will help him be a better leader on the court. The big question mark is can he physically translate what he's learned being on the sidelines for 2 years.
Only going by what has been said about Kipper, I like that we add another gritty player. This team needs some toughness. With Abrams and Black back, I think it could help improve the competitiveness/toughness in practice and in games. Hopefully Black can learn to harness his aggressiveness in...
I get the feeling Tate has a better chance at returning than Nunn, but I'm only going on what's been said about Tate and witnesses. It's been very quiet on Nunn and that seems to indicate there might be a reason. Pure speculation.
I hope Black can take advantage of this opportunity.
I can understand reaching out to a transfer big considering Thorne's situation. I find it hard to believe they will allow another year. But to me, it seems they are anticipating a 2/3 leaving the team, either voluntarily or forced. I am predicting forced.
