Certainly not supporting Pitino, but if he knows he’s clean or at least has covered his tracks well enough, this move makes a ton of sense. Obviously he and his attorneys must think it will be difficult to prove he was aware of Adidas’ involvement.

The comment was clearly meant to be an attention getter for the guys that legitimately are in the hunt for starting roles. That’s Coaching 101.
