My daughter and son both ran distance in college (D1 for her and D3 for him) and neither one liked Nike. She went to a Nike school and was forced to wear them, had a lot of foot problems. My son was a steeplechaser and thought Adidas was the best by far.
Watching the world championships and I've become interested and have some observations re: equipment.
1. I'm thinking that Phil Knight has to be just livid that these championships are "presented by" ASICS. Lots of ASICS logos all over Hayward Field, on volunteer uniforms etc. Not too many...

My senior year. Went to that Dad's Day game. As I recall, Illini scored at the end of the fourth quarter to make the score 12-13. Moeller couldn't get a play in time to go for the 2 point conversion (or even for a PAT) and we lost without ever getting a final chance.

Could easily be lack of coaching/technique for track. Smallest class of schools for Florida, only 1600 students for the entire county (including elementary). Probably not much of a track team, only one athlete from Moore Haven was in the state meet (girl, 200m at 26.19).
