I've always wondered if Barry and Bret are the best match. We hired Barry after we couldn't figure out his UTSA offense with a lot of motion and movement. That doesn't seem to work with Bret's idea of a ball control, smash mouth offense. I feel like Lunney has tried to find a mix of both styles...

Maybe half full...but a lot of Rutgers fans started leaving with about 10 minutes on the clock. I'd agree with other posters that it was a pretty weak environment for B1G football. Illini fans definitely stayed and were loud though!

They did have a marching band. They also had an incredibly annoying train horn that they would blast at every opportunity, which mostly seemed to be to mask the fact that the RU fans never really cheered that loudly.

Besard is in the KLM Open but didn't make the cut. Also, I feel I haven't seen ADC playing much lately but I believe he has qualified for the Olympics (with Detry), so we'll have two Illini playing!

Thanks for the info. I still don't see anything that makes me think he would have been the far-and-away best candidate for the job. I understand it isn't going to happen in any event, but was just wondering why he would be at the top of so many lists.
