Not sure how much eligibility Mor Seck has, but nothing wrong with contacting him now to be better positioned for when the kid enters portal after next season. Start building relationship now.
I just looked and he only had 8 games in which he played 20 minutes or more. In those games he averaged 5.9 ppg (on only 31 shots, 11 of which were in one game), 7.8 rpg and 4.8 bpg. Also had 6 games in which he played less than 20 minutes but had 3 or more blocks.
That’s the other thing I find interesting — all the angst some seem to have about him leaving. I like Luke, but he’s a tweener. Not quick enough to guard the wing and not big enough to guard most 4s.
Really can’t see the difference between Goode and us wanting and being fine with Storr. At least Goode got a degree from Illinois and was part of an E8 team that will have a banner in the rafters. Would like for him to go somewhere else, so we don’t have to play. But degree plus part of an E8...
Any SIU-Edwardsville fans on here? Oregon State just picked up Damarco Minor from there and wondering if anyone has a scouting report. Kid averaged 8.5 rpg this year with 10 or 11 games with double figure boards — even though listed at 6-0, 190. Not much of a shooter though it doesn’t seem...
Tre White wasn’t a bad defender at USC. I wouldn’t put that much stock into his time at Louisville. Definitely has the physical attributes to be a good defender. He’ll be better on D than say Goode — and potentially quite a bit better.
EDIT: See Sedino beat me to it.
I wouldn’t go quite that far for me. But I wasn’t crazy about him, so not torn up at all with the “miss.” While might not end up with a better player, could very well end up with a better player for Illini.
If one of their transfer signees wasn’t Skyy, I’d say UCLA is quietly having a nice portal season. Well at least it will be easy to keep tabs on this ex-Beaver.
