i felt like we should have prioritized getting to the rack over everything else in the second half. really make those refs question how much "whistle" they were willing to swallow.
the sport is simply not ready for our style of play. it will not be officiated fairly.
yet we could have overcome...
don't know if anyone's posted this yet but i encourage you to read this (not mine)

especially if you have doubts about the coaching acumen of our boi brad underwood. this really spells out what a great job the play style...
we're just three years removed from an offseason of discourse about "should illinois fire brad underwood because the warriors drafted brandin podziemski?"
fair to say whitman made the right choice regarding that question.
Nevertheless if there is a Cinderella here it's Illinois. Lowest seed, most losses, only program of the four without a championship.
The other three schools have already had Teams Of Destiny. Just sayin.
Would it be fair to compare UConn to Houston?
I remain stunned that we dismantled the Cougs the way we did. Any hater could dismiss running through a 14, 11 and 9 seed, but I would have thought Houston was beyond what we could do. I don't know where this defense has come from these last few...
Stirtz can't make that shot 10 more times. If that's their offense we'll be fine. We can defend more physically than we are right now given all the hand checks iowa's getting away with.
