This all feels so weird... Recruiting professional players from overseas to come play college basketball in the US. Each year will be a new squad of mercenaries assembled from all parts of the globe.

I'm getting there too. I don't want to overreact, and maybe things will eventually stabilize somewhat, but if this is the "new normal" for college basketball, I definitely don't see myself being as invested 2-3 years from now as I have been in the past.

I think it absolutely does. We can play with the big boys financially and no longer have to take a backseat to the "blue blood" programs. I think NIL gives our program a lot more control over recruiting and the opportunity to influence kids who never would have considered us before.

He got taken out of the game by the big guy in the middle. He couldn't get to the basket and couldn't get the foul calls.

I don't read it that way. I think he was upset because he cares. What reason does he have to leave? He has been given plenty of opportunities, but he has to learn to shoot. That is on him.

Who is returning? Will DGL stick around? Will Dainja still be here? The guys that are left over will need a LOT of help to be competitive next year.
