First stage of Q-School is underway; unfortunately Dylan can't catch a break: On the plus side, Tyler Goecke won that tournament by three strokes, carding a -29! Not only will Tyler advance to second stage, he will get guaranteed starts at PGA Tour Americas provided he doesn't improve his...

Fun fact of the day:

Solid finish to a solid fall, glad they played strong until the end. Trey had his best showing so far this year with a T11, and Harrison tied for 25th in his first start. Max was so close (again), but his fall was outstanding: 3rd, 1st, 15th, 2nd! We should be in the top 10 when the new rankings...

Big day tomorrow, let's close it out strong!

Defense looking very thin against Bijan, three starters out when you include Sweat, and Stevenson is not 100%.

Play well and get rewarded, the way it should be. Harrison definitely earned the opportunity. This is the third year in a row the Illini have played the Fallen Oak; they finished second and third the previous years. Play starts tomorrow morning...

This is interesting... apparently the suspension voids all contract guarantees. Might be a pivot coming at EDGE (Mack or Crosby?)

Big picture, next year we lose Max, Dane and Ethan. That means two roster spots open, need to see if the kids will be ready or if they need to hit the portal. Harrison has shown a lot this fall, I think there's a good chance he can get there. Near term, Coach is big on qualifiers. If he earns...

Congrats to Harrison Zipfel, who finished T2 at the Purdue Fall Invitational! Harrison carded a -7 over three rounds including an ace in round 2! Four Illini competed as individuals at the event: T2 Harrison Zipfel -7 T20 Ethan Wilson +3 T20 Dujuan Snyman +3 T39 Le Khanh Hung +9...

Plenty of work to do. But good place to be compared to a year ago, congrats to the Sox on a great season! Hoping the Ishbia family can force the wallet to be opened more this off-season, this is a solid core.

Jauron should've never happened. In 1999, the Bears were close to hiring Dave McGinnis and announced him as their next coach. Only one problem - McGinnis hadn't signed the contract yet. He immediately pulled himself out of the running, forcing the Bears to pivot to Jauron. The big positive of...

Illini added the Purdue Fall Invitational to the calendar on Oct 12-13, probably for the young guys. Better option, allows Coach to be there. The team will wrap up the fall season on Oct 17-19 at the Fallen Oak in Mississippi. Half of the SEC will be in that field.

Looks like it's no longer on the Illini schedule, so something must've fallen through. Hopefully they get an opportunity to play somewhere this month, all three underclassmen looked great at OFCC.
