For folks who have been to UW before - does anyone have sailgating recommendations? Seems like there are only a couple options open to the public/people who dont know someone with a boat out there.
Was looking through the week 0 & week 1 lines and it looks like Illinois is the heaviest favorite across all games currently posted (Penn state is next at -44.5). I know we are playing WIU, and there is still time for these lines to move, but when was the last time Illinois was laying the most...
If they are going to use multiple helmet stickers/logos/wordmarks going forward, isn't there a good possibility that they move to a standard stripe for all of them? For the 100 year anniversary it makes sense to make them a bit more historically accurate, but they shouldn't be beholden to that...
I'm not saying to do it for every home game, or even home games against Mizzou - but if youre playing a game in StL it wouldn't be OK? ND does stuff like this all the time.
If all else fails, put this one on there instead: https://maps.app.goo.gl/s9n9h6A4kHCK6Pok6
Random thought, but it might be cool to incorporate the gateway arch onto helmets for Mizzou games a la the ivy at wrigley as a one off. Either over the I or behind the script or slant illinois

A streak of fire, a breath of flame
Eluding all who reach and clutch;
A grey ghost thrown into the game
That rival hands may never touch;
A rubber bounding, blasting soul
Whose destination is the goal.

I think it could be possible to address some of these issues without lowering the field. If you remove the first couple of rows from the east and west sides, and replace them with some with flowers/bushes/plants, you can still keep sightlines intact while removing the eyesore that are tarps...
Important to remember when this hire happened - extremely late in the coaching cycle. It wasn't like we had a whole lot to choose from at the time. Not the greatest hire in school history, but I'm not sure there were any better options at that moment.
