It truely amazes me how many good d linemen go to the big schools and spend 4 years as a practice player , never seeing the field in games. Theres always next year to recruit over them.

Since we apparently cant recruit d linemen , we are going to have to recruit o linemen and convert them to defense. And pay whatever in the portal to supplement that .

I have no patience with these verbal Illini who who use the school for social media clicks and all the free stuff the university tries to bribe them with. Although I dont like it, I have more respect for those who wont give Illinois a sniff.

We need a new tackle eligible play. And a maniac backfield blocker in the Jay Proch mold ( from a decade ago ). What about some undersized powerful offensive guards or tackles and specifically convert them into D. linemen.

I think he has great potential to be an improved blocker when he doesnt have to worry about someone chopping his legs out from under him carrying the ball.

My opinion, Raiola ends up at Louisville or ACC team. Dont think he is valued enough by the playoff caliber teams . Way too much of a me, me, me player.

I have nothing but good things to say for Bailey, however I dont think that he is a good enough player for the nfl. Might make special teams or practice squad but it will be a very short nfl career. He would be better off collecting a college paycheck for another year before giving it a try...
