This x10000!! If the injury bug hits the team, depth will be a major concern. If Blackwell truly backed away and the money is still there, try to persuade someone like Paul McNeil to join. He’d be a great fit.

To be fair, Brad Sturdy is one of the Illini experts saying the Blackwell dream is dead apparently. I'm not on his site, but someone made mention of it on another Illini forum. Guessing we'll all know soon enough.

I'm gonna guess this Zens commitment puts an end to Illinois' roster construction unless another player or two transfers (Jakstys? Lee?). I was pretty confident that Blackwell would join, but the longer this takes, the less hopeful I am. And seeing as both Vaaks and Coleman haven't signed yet...

Undy's gotta be selling the vision of handing the '27-28 team's reins over to the HUGE freshmen class. That's the only way to explain no defections from them. Continue down the retention path and only fill in with transfers as needed. No complete overhauls.
