    Been following Illini sports for 60 yrs(yeah, I'm old) and have seen some great efforts. This was a totally great team effort. They showed a lot of heart tonight. Congrats to the kids , coaches and everyone involved. Fun to watch these guys. Go Illini!

    I was there. Fortunately the pre game and post game festivities (still high on a long list of best tailgates) dulled the memory of arguably the most boring college game I've ever seen---and that's 60 yrs worth.

    Game Thread: Illinois at Northwestern

    40 yrs here.( continuous, had them off and on in the 70s). Missed one home game since 81 season. E-mail to JW mon. And telling him exactly that. Know it won't do any good because my annual donation is not big enough, but I 'm done. I don't have enough fall Saturdays left to waste them on...
