Lots of yelling... but can we get Ty back or has that ship sailed? Can't we just pay him a bit more than market value to keep him happy and willing to accept a spot role?
I just don't trust our ability to defend with this roster and Ty would go along way to ease that worry.
I wonder if they can use some of that Blackwell money and overpay Ty to play the niche role off the bench?
Win/win...he gets an opportunity to prove he's healthy and get paid above market value. Illinois gets a guy they familiar with willing to play that niche role...
I don't care about his shooting, we don't have a player that can rebound and defend like Ty can do consistently. I think there's a role for him. Just sad he's not here.
Also, selfishly speaking, with everything he's gone through I want to see him play for us on a national championship...
It would be tough and I definitely want both back. I'm just saying if it gets to the point where we have to chose between either Blackwell and Mirk or Ivicss and Mirk due to the costs, then id prefer Blackwell over the Ivisics.
Him being a program guy will provide so much value. And to be honest during our slump this year, having a guy like Ty would have been such a difference.
Sure there's no defined spot for him in the rotation, and sure he has obvious shooting issues, but he provides something that no one else on...
Agreed -
They were a fun listen initially but they've gotten tiring. It's unfortunate since there's aren't a lot of good college bball content out there.
I can predict their reaction, it'll go like this:
1) Fawn over Wagler for 30 mins ( rightfully so, but they've been loving him all yr)...
Great game and big missed opportunity. Especially since I believe this team can be in contention for a 1- seed and having this win would've been huge. So that's a big miss.
Having said that, I love how we played. When you play an elite coached team like Alabama, they gonna do things that...
I know it's all football season right now ...but ummm can we get an insider to stop by and give an prognosis update on Andrej?
Just want to see if it's ok for me to step off the ledge.
Can't wait for the Michigan matchups.
And I'll already saying.... people can shove it with the "he's just a kid" non-sense. You put that out there, you better expect some heat.
Likewise...I get it, they more entertainment than analysis, but I've lost a lot of respect for their off-season takes.
It's one thing to say we're a mess if this was our final roster, but to have that take when the off-season is barely a couple weeks old is quite click-baity.
