I don’t disagree with this sentiment, but it seems like we hear this every year and by the next things have escalated another 20% higher. Any law/rule enacted will immediately be challenged and I can’t imagine the courts putting a stop to kids getting paid.
This and the timeout under the basket both should have been 3 second calls. Overall the refs were probably fairly even, but when UConn made their run, they were getting all the calls.
This was such a likable group of guys. Hated to see it end this way, but also not that surprised. Can’t have an off night in the tourney and that’s tough to do against top teams. Thanks to the 15 men in that locker room for making this a season to remember. IDK how many will be back, but...
We have a top 15 (reportedly) paid coach. It seems reasonable to expect top 15 performance. We certainly haven’t seen that. IDK where we are as far as roster compensation, but I’d think we are in that same ball park. As you said, we are good, but we should expect better.
They are so much more physical than we are. I told the guy next to me 5 min I didn’t feel good about this game. Needed to shoot the lights out to win this one. I’m also a bit worried the book on how to beat us is to beat us up physically.
Underwood was way too calm tonight. He needed to fight for a few more calls. Wagler can’t even drive anymore with them hanging all over him and those moving picks were bull!!!!.
