I'm surprised there isn't more talk about Harry Froling visiting this weekend. Borderline top 100 player who plays the position we most desperately need and we are in his final four. Maybe I missed something, but I'm just surprised that everyone is talking about Rakocevic instead of Froling...
Does anyone have pictures of the band section and what it looks like during games? I haven't noticed how bad it's been during games but I haven't been looking for it.
Whether you like it or not, the people running the athletic department have done absolutely NOTHING to earn any kind of good media coverage in the past few months. Our athletic department has earned every bit of negative coverage that it has received.
IF IF IF Thomas was wanting to transfer to Illinois, Groce could tell Nichols he needs to greyshirt and not enroll until May. But that's the only scenario I can see where we have room for him in December.
I agree with a lot of what you've said here. These are all clear signs that the athletic department is not working as a team currently. I would love to see a new AD come in and clean house.

3. Make decisions on how money can be best spent to give football/basketball teams the facilities they need to win.
4. Lead policy changes and renovations to improve...
The original plan was to have the Loge seats behind each basket, but the demand for them was so low that they kept regular box seats behind one of the baskets.
The Loge boxes are one thing I certainly don't like about the renovation but there's 16 boxes if I counted correctly and each one has 4...
One thing that comes to mind after looking at that picture of the Breslin Center...
You can hardly even see the tunnels in that picture and the arena loses almost no seats because of them. The tunnel behind the basket at SFC looks really bad and causes the Krush to lose a lot of their luster...
The B1G said it had approved "BYU, Army, Notre Dame, UConn, and Cincy" and had denied at least one request for other schools to count as P5 opponents. It's easy to put two and two together to realize Illinois requested USF and was denied.
Exactly. It wouldn't surprise me if we try to buy out the Western Illinois game now. The Big Ten requires us to play a P5 opponent every year AND no FCS schools and we are breaking both of those rules in 2018. It seems rather late in the scheduling game to get a P5 opponent in 2017/2018, but...
