agree - especially as looks like the big ten on paper isn’t going to have a ton of top 10-15 teams to get obvious Q1 home games.

Can we just take a minute and appreciate how back Illinois basketball is the past 5 years. Consistently now in marquee games against marquee brands - You think Duke schedules us for the MSG showcase game (I’m sure on ESPN or CBS or FOX) 6 years ago?

I think He made a comment on some interview over the past year watching this teams success to the extent of wish he spent one more year.

I know it hasn’t been that intense lately but UI/IU and UI/Purdue have had some really great rivalries as well. The positive with NW is for the standings that we are historically much better and that “away” game becomes a home game that Chicago fans take over.

What you see right now is baseball free agency all on 1 year contracts and with more teams. So by definition without a cap, you have to overpay the field to get your guy unless there’s other circumstances. And despite their histories, the Yankees have to overspend too, they just have more money...

No issue taking the punter if we didn’t only have 4 picks and have drafted no defensive guys. Gonna have to find some undrafted help or scraps from other teams to fill out the roster.

JJ is the type of guy you get fired for as a GM for taking when the Vikings move up to get him. Not sold on Williams either but think the upside is worth the pick - if he flames out so be it.

No but doesn’t mean it couldn’t be - by definition that team would have to be a top 8 team and win a BTT. For comparison, not knowing what Domask became, I also wouldn’t have put this years team into that category over the summer. I would be very very excited going into the year with that team.

His 15-20 PPG seems like a huge missing piece if we whiff. The other positions all seem like they have reasonable back up plans to get to roughly the same spot.
