Still the hardest "sports" loss for me to accept in my lifetime. The greatest Illini team to ever step foot on the court. I've suffered some tough losses as a sports fan of professional (White Sox, Packers, Blackhawks, etc.) and Illini teams, but that one stung, and will always sting, the most.

Each year I get all fired up when the talk of recruits coming here is at a fever pitch and each year I say I'm going to stop following recruiting. The first step is admitting you have a problem.... In any event...I want a class of Tilmon, Williams, Pickett, Goodwin, and Smith.

The Fighting Illini uniforms have always been my favorite, but just doesn't have the throwback feel without the chief on the shorts.
