Apologies if this has been mentioned but what is the Illinois tie/ sell to Pej? Just wondering what that “it” factor is that won’t just have him take the bigger offer when it inevitably comes.

I could be wrong but I believe the difference is NAIA is not affiliated with the NCAA so falls under the same precedent as juco as far as not counting. D2 (CIAA) where Samage played is.

Samage is one of the several guys in the portal with seemingly no eligibility left. It’s the NCAA after all so I’m sure they’ll set a new precedent but he played 2 seasons of D2, a year at Presbyterian and a year at ISU.
