Playing at U of I is his JOB. He's getting paid for that. It seems like his loyalty is divided and should be, but it has to be first to his employer. I'll never fault an athlete for wanting to represent his country but I get it that Illinois sees him as a key element to integrate into the team...

Don't sleep on Zens. He's our third mr. basketball in the past 6 years to enroll at the beloved and the past two have played really well. He's a very good shooter and, when whipped into shape will become a good front court for the Illini.

I'd take Luke as my quarterback six ways to Sunday.... We can always find obscure statistics that denigrate him, but he's a WINNER. He spent most of the time running for his life, which hurt his sack rate. If our new guy (in his only year or two) is as ALMOST as proficient, it'll be a good year.

Let's discuss who's left on the roster to pitch in August and September (and October?) With JT gone, what should our rotation be? What do we need to add? I'd love another ground ball-oriented starter (or two) and a fire balling reliever. The other eight positions are well-manned by decent...

Amazing support for terrible pitching performances! Jame-0 has lost his radar. His stuff has never been great; he needed pinpoint control to avoid the fat part of the bat. As a result of extremely poor location, he's allowed 25 homeruns in 75 innings, which puts his team so far down that the...

Welp, it isn't often you put an 11-0 shellacking on Paul Skenes and the Pirates. He did tie his career strikeout record (11) in less than six innings, but Master PCA is currently too much for almost anyone. And Imanaga has a .24 ERA in 36 innings against the Buccos Great night altogether...

Not the same team without Q in there... They stagnate without his hustle. And they don't share the ball. Some very curious calls by the refs....

    Illini Basketball 2026-2027

as has been mentioned before, its not the ninth man who matters, its the fourth big man. As injury and illness prone the twins are, the fourth big could get a fair amount of playing time. A skilled player there would see the floor quite often. One thing not discussed is the lack of foul trouble...

Quentin Coleman on the USA U18 National Team

Ty and Q are at opposite ends of the body type spectrum. And they rebound differently. Q is very quick and gets to the ball before others and then busts out to fly down the court. But he also gets bounced around a lot by his own age group opponents. Ty is muscular and a fighter and will battle...

Beating two SEC schools in bowls the past two years is pretty Marquee, especially South Carolina.
