Missed shots. That was why the Illini lost today. Way too many inside shots missed. Virtually no 3's. The fighting spirit was nice to see, but UConn didn't beat Illinois...Illinois beat themselves. Illinois played well but they didn't look like a championship squad. Good season for the Illini...

The thing about an opponent going jets-on strong in a first half is that they could leave less in the tank for the second half. That's what happened with Iowa. Illinois has longevity. Keep the faith, all - it's 40 minutes.

OMG, the first fling of an Illinois player to the pitch and the unnecessary roughness call. That might have been to gain respect but the scoreboard after 60 minutes of play told the real story!

Tonight's win was classic Illinois football. Play well, but not so well it's completely put away until the very final seconds. We won so many thrillers like this in the 2023-24 campaign, and tonight was another barn-burner. I so wish we could keep Luke a fifth year, but he's going to be an...
