Offensively we are juiced again ... should be another KenPom darling and really fun to watch.
Defensively I don't know ... are we better, worse, same? Maybe better as a unit with all of the IQ? I still worry about not have "that dog" on D to put a speed bump on the quick guards out there.
There’s so many great lead guards out there that I’m concerned about not having that shut down defender on our roster. Great lineup to be sure but not yet confident without someone who can take on and at least slow down an alpha. So yeah, basically Kylan.
Thanks to everyone for an extremely fun and memorable season -- great entertainment!
It was a pleasure to watch all these guys and I hope all those eligible (or not NBA bound) will come back!!
Athletic? No. Shoots like a rifleman? Yes. Power scored 44 earlier today.
Their 3pt shooters are at 43, 40, and 38%. Not athletic, but if Fran schemes to get these guys open shots? They will drain them.
We can trounce them if we do our own scheming to take advantage of our strengths, but this...
I think Tomi is worth a swing of about +/- 8 points, so I'm concerned but hopeful.
It might come down to their alphas vs ours down the stretch. Will a late game clutch guy (Ayo!) be born?
Plan is to have the Illinois shirt, pants, on socks on, and other various superstitions and Illini...
What determines playing time past the top few guys will be defense (this is Brad, after all), and health. And yes, whoever said that the most telling metric will be who finishes close games was spot on.
We don't know how either of these will go, but it will be fun to see how it all shakes out...
Washington has a few very dangerous weapons and it will be a major challenge to cover all that they can do. Demond Williams can throw and take off on either designed runs or broken plays; he's fast and can get to the edge easily. Jonah Coleman is a beast; I don't know how Michigan limited him...
