Most of the time, if not all the time, if your best player goes down, you're not winning a national title. Most good teams are about 8 deep. Both Michigan and UConn played only 7-8 players in the championship.

I agree. Think we are good at the guard spot. Wagler/Bos/Lee/Petro are replaced with Vaaks/Coleman/Morillo/Brown. Might want to find a decent 4 to replace Ben's minutes or Jake and Z just get a lot more minutes.

As an NBA prospect I totally agree. But a Freshman Wagler vs Soph Vaaks as college player might not be a huge difference.

I think I'd take Blackwell/Vaaks over Wagler/Bam personally.

I agree. His defense was trash the 2nd half of the year. Dre's defense started to pick up and won that game for us in the Elite 8.

Now just retain Dre, Mirk and the twins and add a portal PG. We should be just as good next year.
