Dick's Sporting Goods does not have one piece of Chicago White Sox merchandise in their Champaign, IL store. They have Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, St. Louis Cardinals ... but absolutely nothing for the Chisox. I realize that the Cubs / Cardinals fandom is strong in...

It was not Vanderbilt. The team that backed out on the Fighting Illini for the 2026 non-conference season will be on our non-conference schedule in 2027 and 2028 as part of a home & home series, but it was not Vanderbilt.

Cardinals now have dropped the first 2 games of the 5 game series vs the Brew Crew. Misiorowski improves his record to 10-4 on the season as Milwaukee takes the 1st game of the day / night doubleheader with a 4-3 victory. Hunter Dobbins takes the mound for the Cardinals tonight at 6:45pm as...

So is this a "buy game" or "guarantee game" for Hoopeston? How much is Montini paying the Cornjerkers for a team from a FCS school playing a Power 5 team?

Said with the tongue firmly implanted in the cheek. Romero gives up a dinger to Soto and the Cardinals are unable to complete the sweep, as they fall to the Mets 5-4 on Thursday afternoon. On to the twin cities to take on the Minnesota Twins this weekend.

They most definitely had a squeeze play on. VSII left Winn out to dry. He couldn't have had a better pitch to lay down a bunt. I am not sure why he showed bunt and then pulled the bat back just before the ball crossed the center of the plate, when Winn was more than halfway down the basepath...

When I saw that Christy Winters-Scott was doing this game, I was actually shocked. Her son (Jordan Scott) is a starter on the Michigan State mens BKB team. How can she NOT be biased calling a Spartan game? C'mon, Big Ten Network ... did you really think this one through?

We actually play Wisconsin on Wednesday (not Purdue). When (not if) we defeat the Badgers, then we get Michigan State. https://bigten.org/wbb/article/59494/

It's official .... Gretchen Dolan is out for the rest of the season

Never got the opportunity to work in the Jacksonville Bowl, but always wanted to. The only time that I officiated in Jacksonville was the Super-Sectional at Illinois College ... which was an extremely nice facility.

I officiated IHSA basketball for 22 years. I officiated Super-Sectionals at Illinois College in Jacksonville, at UIS in Springfield, and a couple at Pontiac HS. The ones on the college campuses definitely had more of the big-time post-season vibe. The ones at Pontiac were more of just a...

You are 100% correct !! This was only one of a few that the officials got correct on Sunday. Shauna was not pleased, nor were the rest of us that were there at Breslin dressed in orange.
