They most definitely had a squeeze play on. VSII left Winn out to dry. He couldn't have had a better pitch to lay down a bunt. I am not sure why he showed bunt and then pulled the bat back just before the ball crossed the center of the plate, when Winn was more than halfway down the basepath...

When I saw that Christy Winters-Scott was doing this game, I was actually shocked. Her son (Jordan Scott) is a starter on the Michigan State mens BKB team. How can she NOT be biased calling a Spartan game? C'mon, Big Ten Network ... did you really think this one through?

Never got the opportunity to work in the Jacksonville Bowl, but always wanted to. The only time that I officiated in Jacksonville was the Super-Sectional at Illinois College ... which was an extremely nice facility.

Illini volleyball returns back to loss column with a 3-set defeat to #11 Wisconsin on Saturday night. Our record now stands at 13-12 overall and 8-8 in the conference. They make the west coast trip next weekend for a Thursday night match vs UCLA and a Saturday night contest vs #17 USC.

Let's not bring up the current state of the volleyball program though :(
