Illinois’s offense will not be real good until the receivers get better and can get some separation on their routes. Williams can’t be the only deep threat as he has trouble on 50/50 balls due to a lack of size. The receiver room is still the biggest offensive weakness.
I agree that OA is an excellent recruiter, but we all need to keep in mind that in OA’s three years as a head coach, in which he was also recruiting his records were:
2014-2015 9-23
2015-2016 8-25
2016-2017. 6-7
I think there is more attracting players to UI than just OA such...
My bad, however I think the front court will be better as the season goes along. Black and Finke were not strong defensively or physical as rebounders. Hopefully the new players will develop in both areas as the season progresses.
I believe Frazier has played a year of college basketball, Feliz has played two years of Juco and internationally for the Dominican Republic, and Dosunmu has played internationally. Maybe we should wait and see what will happen instead of jumping to a dire assumption.
