I would say to an impartial observer, say any college BB fan that isn't a fan of Illinois or UCLA, they would say Alford is a more accomplished coach than Groce.

None of it scares me, I'm expressing why there is zero comparison to the Cliff Alexander scenario mentioned. When Okafor and Jones picked Duke (a Nike school), the value of Cliff being an Adidas guy increased a lot.

If the Goodwin recruitment turns into a Nike/Adidas war and Nike gets the two top players to commit to one of their schools the week before his commitment, my concern will increase quite a bit.

Yeah, but 2 guys out of the last 35 or so verbal commits, both with very unique situations isn't that bad, especially when compared to the number of recruits who have told coaches at many schools they'd be committing but back out. In addition, I hate that I've played this role of wait it out...
