What is IU’s sell … big NIL $$? Don’t think IU comes close to the other two in terms of recent history of being a winning program or developing guys into NBA players.

The stretch from Jan 19 through Feb 12 is a gauntlet, with UNC also plugged in between UCLA and USC. Conceivably could have a stretch of 8 straight games against ranked teams. Not necessarily gimme games, but the front and back ends of the B10 schedule look pretty manageable.

Have we ever had four 5 star guys visit in a year, let alone in a weekend? (The Rose / Gordon class is the only one that comes to mind but can’t think of other big names we were in on that year.)

I love Coleman but he seems like more of an off guard ... more scorer/finisher than creator-for-others at this stage of his development. He could eventually grow into a PG role but I didn't see that role watching the U18 games this summer.

Seems like Vaaks has the tools to do it -- and you see him creating in the Estonia highlights -- so hopefully it's just a matter of time. But if the season started today (and with Mirk out), who would be the PG? Seems like it would still be Vaaks by default, though perhaps you run more plays...

Need some insider assurance that the timetable for return is (hopefully) a couple months or less. Even if that's the case, not great in terms of having him in tip top shape for the season.

Seems like we just have a steady stream of top 20 recruits coming to campus. The pump is really primed to keep this thing humming at an elite level.

Also won AT Washington last year. I recall watching some of the game, they are a decent team that can beat you if you are sleepwalking.

My vague recollection is that Iguodala shot up the rankings later in his HS career, was overshadowed by McBride before that. I want to say (very vague memory) Self didn't recruit him right away because of questions about his offensive skill. Definitely more in the spotlight by his senior year...

Williams reminds me of Andre Iguodala ... central Illinois kid that is uber athletic, has a somewhat raw offensive game but unlimited potential. Let's hope his career follows a similar trajectory (just at Illinois instead of Arizona)!
