This game reminds me of many against Maryland over the years. Wisconsin has the two best players on the floor with the basketball in their hands.

If you only had watched this half of college basketball this year, you would assume that Mills must be the projected freshman lottery pick playing in this game.

Getting them to catch the ball moving away from the basket would certainly do the trick. A harder denial of the inbounds pass would make sense.

I thought about them rolling the ball up, and thought I might actually welcome that option. The guard picking it up typically has little forward momentum at that point and the defender is then usually right up on them and able to guard them more effectively in that scenario. I would think it...

On the end of game situation strategy question...Would it be better to just sit back beyond half court on defense and let them come to you rather than giving them a sprint up the court with at least one defender completely out of the play? I don't recall seeing anyone employ this strategy, but...
