Kudos to Brad. Lots of things that still irritate me but I have to give credit where it's due. Good on him.

This is a good point. I probably need to adjust expectations. I compare it to football and think that there, winning a lot of games is acceptable because of where we started. But it just seems we never realize our potential in basketball. We underachieve instead of overachieve.

I'm not even just talking about winning a national championship. I think we have consistently underperformed in March despite winning a lot of games, and to me, success comes down to that. We are always a good team, but I think there have to be some post season results to consider ourselves...

I guess my point is that I don't feel we are consistently competitive. We win a lot of games (and always lose some real head scratchers) but I have not one iota of belief that we make it to a final four. It would be great if Brad would start proving me wrong.

You think Brad wins a natty at Illinois? If so, I very much hope you are right and I am wrong.

It's just not appealing as a fan of 39 years to say, "we don't have a chance to actually win the championship, but we'll be good anyway!" I think we should be past that at this point.

Yep. All these games and seasons have one thing in common.

Giving up a 23 point lead and missing free throws and not driving the lane is what's dicking us over.

Guys, it's not the refs.

I do not think it was just our lines that "cost us a shot at the CFP." Given our play in many positions and in many games this year, I'd say 9 wins was greater than expected.
