Still one of my favorite (and in my top 5) Illini of all time. Also played on one of the most talented Illinois teams of all time. Too bad that season ended the way it did. People forget how talented that team was and the number of big time athletes. They were something to watch as a kid.

I'm not a big fan of bringing in Martin. I have no doubt he could do the job... it just feels like recycling an above average coach for a safe hire. Keatts is intriguing. I get the feeling he would bring a spark back to the program and be able to relate to the players well. That's going on what...

Hard to say... ... but I can't see Groce moving one of his assistants out to make room for Dee. It would make sense though. You can't tell me Dee wouldn't motivate the hell out of the players..... and be a plus on the recruiting side.

Motivate him to play a Rodman style role (focus on aggressive defense and go after any and every rebound opp) for this years team.....he definitley looks like he's got the ability to do it. Good foot speed, good hopps. Much needed down low. I'm with you.... I like DJ's potential.
