Some guys just have ‘IT’ on offense and Vaaks has a ton of it. You can teach defense as long as a guy is committed to putting in the effort. I don’t think he’s going to be best defender on the team, but I’d expect improvement over what he did at Providence

1/7/2021 we were down 15 to NW and promptly outscored them by 40 in the second half to win. I’m not saying we will do that, but going from ice cold shooting to red hot is possible. Let’s get it. I-L-L

I felt like he was the only one that did show up on defense for awhile. He rotated over a couple times and made life difficult or had a block. Offensively the whole team was bad.

I think defense has been ok for the most part. Effort is better on rebounds, someone has to make an open look or we need Andrej to go nuts driving the ball and getting fouled

Why not both

Staying within 10 going into half time and resetting would be a W for the half. We have no business being in this game the way we’ve shot the ball.

After the graphic in the game showing Lute Olson with the last Final 4 for Iowa and going to Arizona, I now hope Lloyd goes to UNC and McCollum goes to Arizona to follow in Lute’s footsteps….because Iowa shouldn’t get nice things.

The halftime adjustments by the staff have been on point. Defensively excellent in the 2nd half. Better offense. See you all in Indy!
