    2021 Chicago White Sox

Lynn was lights out in the home opener. This is why the Sox made the trade to get him. A bullpen that's already been overworked gets today and tomorrow off. The legend of Yermin continues to grow. I don't know how long it will last but it's a fun ride right now.

TLR left Matt Foster to the wolves. Horrible decision that sunk the game. Well at least there are no more west coast trips until September. Let's see if there's no place like home for the Sox.

Ayo Dosunmu declares for the NBA Draft

There’s a plot twist...said no one ever. Best of luck to Ayo at the next level. Maybe the Bulls can get him ;)

Yermin 5/5! Who saw that coming? TLR's handling of the pitchers I thought was pretty good tonight. Now if they can just fix their defense.

    Coaching Carousel

We still don’t have to worry about IU hoops being good again. Great hire, IU!

Eloy out 5-6 months with a torn pectoral. Ouch. Guess it’s Vaughn time in LF now.

    Thank You

Not the ending we wanted, but these kids gave us a lot of fun and great moments throughout the season. One bad game (even an ill-timed one) doesn't undo all of that IMO. They improved with each and every game and showed us how fun Illinois basketball used to be. Brad Underwood and his staff has...

    3/21 Games

I've lost the will to watch any more basketball this year thanks to today 😥😥 I'm just checking scores at this point.

Loyola Chicago 71, Illinois 58 Postgame

That's a valid point but would Kofi and Ayo have stayed afterwards, especially if we had made a run? We had talent but were inexperienced on a stage like this, and it showed. You can cite the BTT run yes, but that just isn't the same as a do or die winner-take-all game that the Madness is in...

Loyola Chicago 71, Illinois 58 Postgame

It's as simple as Loyola just plain whipped us on both ends of the court. That's it. Both teams had to deal with shoddy officiating and the early start time. No excuses guys. Loyola bought it today and it was just not our day. That's why they are moving on and we are going home.

Ayo isn't coming back. Kofi might though.

Loyola Chicago 71, Illinois 58 Postgame

Underwood could have done some things better, no doubt but this falls on Ayo and Trent's shoulders. Ayo picked the worst time to have a crap performance on both sides. His man was blowing by him for easy lay ups all game. Loyola's defense swarmed him all game and it got to him, physically and...

Loyola Chicago 71, Illinois 58 Postgame

Hats off to Loyola. They had an incredible game plan and stuck to it for the full 40. They outplayed, out-executed, and outhustled us from start to finish. They are a good, experienced team who no doubt had the added motivation of wanting to knock out the flagship state school on the biggest...
