I’m sorry man but butler is just as hard. I know this for a fact. My buddy was a juco pitcher and he went thru the admissions process. Just not buying that for a second. He was between Michigan and butler. And as we know Michigans admission process is tough. Butler is a really good school.

So he could get into butler but not Illinois??…. Hmmm. That doesn’t add up at all.

There is a ton of benefit to keeping another scholarship open in todays environment. Remember the mac etienne situation? We had no ride and he went elsewhere. Dain was another mid season addition. I’d rather have the flexibility over a third string freshman Pg.

I’d rather take a proven player over another flier especially with a young roster like we have. I’ve seen too many fliers recently not work out and basically waste a spot on the bench. Either leave the spot open or get a transfer. We don’t really need another freshman guard.

I never got the Reggie bass thing. He never seemed great. People were convincing themselves on 247 that he would get some huge rating bump. Same with storr. Blaming Covid as the reason they weren’t that highly ranked. Reggie was just a less talented harris imo.
