I hate to say it, but that group of guards is pure doo doo. Two freshmen, two dudes that can’t shoot, and a backup-caliber two guard. You can’t win without good guard play. That group doesn’t give us that. Not next year, anyway.

But, will he be the coach of the team that loses their coach to the Texas job?

When Underwood was hired, he was considered by many to be an offensive mind - kind of a Beilein type. The offense, right now, is making me long for the Weber motion offense. WTF?

They either can’t coach this defense or the players are unable to execute it. At this point, I’m not sure it matters which it is. We are approaching January and we are going to get absolutely lit up every night in the Big Ten playing this D.

Wow. This is quite a take. We are in the process of loading up on big time talent. We will have an elite group of talent this next year. We have more on the way with the 2024 class. The effort it must take to be bummed right now .....

This reminds me of last year, waiting for the third assistant to be named. Everyone was freaking out. “No one wants to come here!” “Underwood has whiffed on all of his targets!” Etc. I’d say Tim Anderson was worth the wait. I think our patience will be rewarded again, with the portal.
