As an Illini fan with tickets to both Friday sessions of the BTT, I'm rooting for an Illini 2 seed. And then hoping for a more favorable opponent to come with that. If nw loses this one I think that guarantees us the 2 seed.

Definitely hard to fault MSU this season given various circumstances. Also, their one missed game was home vs Minny correct? Likely would have been a win anyway, though Minny was playing better late.

Montgomery has been so great lately, hope he continues to eat up late innings. His most memorable performance so far this postseason might be the "night" he lost Game 3 in SF. 4 scoreless extra innings until 1 ER at the end. Solid.

The Dodger's mediocrity was on full display last night. If there was any shred of doubt about us being the better team going into this game, it was gone once the 8th inning ended IMO.

I want that guy to have the ball in the 9th inning, no question. Chapman has absolutely demonstrated that he can get the final 3 outs to close out games. I just wish we had a reliable setup man to get us through the 8th.

You still like the idea of Chapman attempting to get 6 outs? I'm just glad we could avoid the situation tonight (I'm assuming we win this one).

I am strangely confident about tonight. My thought before Game 3 was that it would be very unlikely to go 0-2 in the first two games in LA and I still believe that. Tonight's winner takes the series.
