BYU was a paper tiger who fed off their altitude-juiced home court advantage in Provo to get their seed. They were a tailor-made matchup for us. We would have eaten them alive had they managed to survive their first round matchup.

We had the most favorable draw we could have possibly had prior to the sweet 16. If this conspiracy theory were true, there are many more ways the NCAA could have given us unfavorable matchups from the very first NCAA Tournament game we played.

Look. I can't stand Duke either. But no need to be ridiculous. Elite 8 this past year. They have top 3 level talent on their upcoming team, including their second #1 ranked recruiting class in 3 years. Hopefully we can rise to the level of their "death nell."

When you have the chance to get a player as good as Demin, you don't worry whether he fills a position of need. We'd make it work.

As of this moment, this hasn't happened, but if we wind up with none of our top transfer targets and wind up having to settle for our 3rd/4th choices, that will be an indictment of our coaching staff. I'm not here trying to throw shade at our coaches or trying to judge this transfer portal...
