Virginia looking very well prepared against NC State. Their O-Line is essentially a semi-pro group with everyone well into their 20s.

Really hard to tell how good they are given the competition they're facing today. We'll see if they can do what they're doing today against B1G defenses.

Post season success will get coaches into living rooms, but as we saw after 2004-5, coaches still need the salesmanship and savvy to close deals. Brad, Orlando, and company undoubtedly have these ingredients in spades.

Unfortunately, we'll be seeing what Zavier can do sooner rather than later.

What's hilarious is reading a post implying that the author can somehow foresee the value our incoming freshman will bring to our team based upon a once in a generation phenom we happened to be fortunate enough to recruit for our roster last season. How many other Keaton Waglers have there been...

Fair enough. I still feel like point number 2 stands, though. Sincere's game detracts too much from what we are trying to do as a team.

I love Sincere, but bringing him in to our team just doesn't make sense. 1. There just isn't room for him given how many other contenders for PT we have at his position, and 2. If we were to bring him in to be a "defensive cooler" it wouldn't make up for how much it would cool down our...

Was he expecting to be drafted? I love what Kylan brought to our team, but Kylan as an NBA player? It's tough for me to see it.

    Ty Rodgers injury

This is really tough pill to swallow. Ty isn't the first ball player to be mired in the quicksand of a really bad injury, that reoccurs and reoccurs again, and he definitely won't be the last. I'm hoping that whatever doors outside of basketball that he wants to go through open up for him...

I don't feel that being positive but bringing some perspective along with that positivity equates to "tearing down the team (I) root for."

You must have guzzled at least 2 gallons of orange koolaid this morning to help you type these words. Vaaks is a great offensive player. He's not better than Haggerty or Blackwell, and definitely isn't anywhere near as proven.

    Illini in the Pros (Basketball)

I feel like if you're going to mention the 4.7 assists, you have to mention the 3.7 TOs. KJ did a lot of great things for us, but he just wasn't up for the offense-initiation responsibility we laid on his shoulders that season.

I feel completely differently. Unless an athlete is training to run that distance or longer at a fast pace, you just won't see D1 basketball conditioned athletes just trot out and run a sub 4:20 mile on the track. Basketball conditioning is completely different than miler conditioning...short...
