Not to say he'd for certain fail as a NBA HC, but I'd be completely fine if the Bulls just keep on being the Bulls if this means Michigan falls back to mediocrity.
So the primary ballhandler has ended up being a taller, non-traditional point guard that can get their own buckets. Which is exactly what Vaaks looks to be.. So you could argue that Brad is just cutting out the wasted time on trying to fit a true point guard into his system.

What other teams have done this? We're one of the very few teams in the portal era to return almost all of our core players from a Final 4 roster. It's much easier to sell an experienced player on coming to a team and earning his minutes when the entire roster is new.
I hate to break it to people, but most college kids do not care all that much about winning a college national championship. They care about money and setting up their career.
In our current situation, the $$ isn't the issue. Selling an experienced player with 1 maybe 2 years of eligibility on...
Vaaks is the "star" in the portal. By most experts this kid is ranked as a Top 10 transfer.
So you want 2 stars in the portal on top of retaining Mirk, Drej, T, and Z. Priority was always to retain our guys and bet on them improving. I understand what you're saying but it's not realistic...
The idea of it is great. Try selling two 3rd year college players that averaged double digit points on their respective teams last year to be the 8-9th players for us. Any players with 2+ years of experience already should not be moving to a program to get 15 min/game. No program would be paying...
Loyalty is so back. If we were told this would be the squad 2 weeks ago everyone would be ecstatic.
Some of you are delusional with this depth concern. Brad and Co. have clearly decided on how they want to build a roster and that starts with retaining your best talent, which costs $$$$. Then...
Ty is Illini forever. Despite not playing was a big part of establishing and maintaining culture the last few years. Definition of EDG.
With that being said, was not expecting to need him next year. Hopefully he finds a great fit and will succeed. I'll be rooting for him.
