It’s a reference to a scene in the movie this is spoofing — Obsession.

This is so cool. I’m a big horror fan and Obsession was one of the best horror movies I’ve seen in a few years. Curry Barker is very talented. They are both two young dudes that seem to have a vision of their craft beyond their years.
