Based on what the announcer was saying during the game, it sounds like Peters is just missing reads. At least 3-4 times he talked about watching the tape. Plus he missed a sure fire TD to Spann who probably had his DB beat by 3-4 steps. It’s almost like Peters has a version of the Yips or something
Walters is basically proving Lovies defensive scheme was the problem. Also we shouldn’t lose much in the way of players next year so defense might be sustainable. (Carney, Gay, Adams, Perry, Hansen). And we have replacements ready to go for everyone save Carney I think
Weirdest thing we learned is that Freshman LB Kenneth Odeluga is expected to play more. I need to look at a depth chart cuz idk how expected this is, but considering we flipped him from PennU I can’t imagine very.
Definitely looks like I way underestimated how atrocious Lovie’s recruiting truly was. Idk if it’s because the highs of Beason and IW and the hits on lowly ranked Hobbs and Bennett made me think he was better than he ended up being or what. But man…just the skill disparity in that game was absurd.
Most interesting to me was teams with a history of being terrible seemed to be the ones making the most questionable picks.
Felt like I was watching the NFL draft where the Raiders trade up to draft a random guy that’s really fast while passing on the surefire starter.
