Rutgers 18 buckets out of 20 at one point. Nearly 60 points in the 1st half. Wow!

I did watch him play at SIU several games the last 4 years, and to me, he stood out. I've seen a lot of basketball in my lifetime and some kids just have the "It" factor. I told a friend this summer that I wished Illinois would come looking for MD. I'm glad they did!!

Jerry Sloan was an amazing person. He was from my home town but grew up, in the country, on the west side of Hamilton County. The Sloan family and my mom's family grew up together, going to a one room school, working the fields together, hitching rides into town together, playing ball together...
