    Illini Football 2026

It’s an optimistic take. I’m banking on potential being fulfilled and a general trend to utilize TEs. Plus, Antonio gates didn’t even play college football…but was too big for dbs and too fast for linebackers. I think feagin can be similar

    Illini Football 2026

Feagin at tight end??? Guess I’m late on that news being official. Great move, he’ll be tough to guard and potentially a lot of mismatches. Plus the TE position is really making a comeback in general (has been gradual for a while). Funnily enough I think that will also help the run game with him...

I’m trying to think of an upset/signature win for 26. Past two years I picked Michigan and SC. illini have a history of taking down the buckeyes from time to time, you think 26 is next? I might get on board, need to chew on it.

Ya my Alma mater. Had some hopes. In his defense he was better than his predecessor who was married but then fired for domestic violence against his girlfriend in San Francisco. So I’d argue Steve isn’t the worst coach out there, but close.

I remember after Lon Kruger left Mike Jarvis’ name was thrown around for Illinois. I don’t think he’s busy at the moment if Brad were to leave. Steve lavin is also available.

Consider what he did at Utah, even the past few years. With the Michigan $$$ I, unfortunately, think he’s a great hire for UM. the right guy in right environment. To use another car analogy, at Utah he was driving a Hyundai and still competing at a high level. At Michigan he has a Lamborghini...

He did get a degree in 4 and only took ballroom for one semester his 5th season… all at the same school. Those things are rarities now

Do we still call it ‘football bowl subdivision’ FBS now that there will be big playoff? and ‘football championship subdivision’ FCS? As the two ‘Division 1s’ “d-1”? Or back to I-A and I-AA. Or is the old I-AA now I-AAA? How about just “The Big Club” and then “The Ones Ain’t In It”.

go bobcats. The city of Bozeman really gets behind them… pretty cool actually. If you’re tired of nil and related shenanigans 1-AA is a good alternative

    Illinois Football Uniforms

I’m pretty much an orange helmet hardliner, in that I’ll accept anything as long as helmet is orange. That said, these do look pretty good, and I guess it is a special occasion so why not… go navy

Wittingham is a CEO type coach that got a lot out of his players at Utah. They were constantly near the top of the conference in large part because they were more disciplined and physical than the rest of the pac12. I actually think it’s a great hire and will last until he wants to retire...
